Boris Johnson was born Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson on June 19, 1964, in New York City, USA. He holds both British and American citizenship but is primarily known as a British national. Johnson was educated at the European School, Brussels I, Ashdown House, and Eton College before attending Balliol College, Oxford, where he studied Classics. His early career was in journalism, where he worked for publications such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph, eventually becoming the editor of The Spectator.
