Rishi Sunak was born on May 12, 1980, in Southampton, Hampshire, England. He is a British national of Indian descent. Sunak was educated at Winchester College, an independent boarding school, before attending Oxford University, where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at Lincoln College. He later earned an MBA from Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar. Before entering politics, Sunak had a successful career in investment banking and hedge fund management, working for firms such as Goldman Sachs and The Children’s Investment Fund Management.
