Massimo Bottura was born on September 30, 1962, in Modena, Italy. He developed an interest in cooking at a young age, inspired by his mother, grandmother, and aunt, who were all excellent cooks. Bottura initially studied law but decided to pursue his passion for cooking, opening his first restaurant, Trattoria del Campazzo, in 1986.
