Wingard was born on May 9, 1997, in Arvada, Colorado. He attended Ralston Valley High School where he excelled in football and was named the Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014. He went on to play college football at the University of Wyoming, where he was a standout player for the Wyoming Cowboys.
