In the NFL, Johnson has played for several teams before landing with the Los Angeles Chargers. He started his professional football career when he signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2019. After a brief stint with the Texans, he later signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020 and then joined the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021.
