Born on 18 November 1978 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Damien Johnson began his footballing journey at the youth academy of Blackburn Rovers. He made his professional debut for the club in 1997 and went on to spend ten years with Blackburn, making over 170 appearances for the first team.
