Ekuale began his football career at Washington State University, where he played for the Cougars from 2014 to 2017. During his time at Washington State, Ekuale proved himself to be a dominant force on the defensive line, recording 75 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks in 38 games.
