Perryman attended the University of Miami, where he played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. During his time at Miami, he showcased his exceptional skills as a linebacker and garnered attention from NFL scouts. In the 2015 NFL Draft, Perryman was selected by the Chargers in the second round with the 48th overall pick.
