Roberts attended the University of Houston where he played as a linebacker for the Houston Cougars football team. In 2016, he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Patriots and was a key player in their defense during his time there. Roberts was a part of the team that won Super Bowl LI in 2017.
