Hurst began his football career playing college football at the University of South Carolina. He played for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2015 to 2017, where he quickly made a name for himself as a talented tight end. In his final year at South Carolina, Hurst was named a finalist for the John Mackey Award, given to the nation’s top tight end.
