Hayden began his youth career at Southend United before moving to the Arsenal Academy in 2008. He made his professional debut for Arsenal in 2013 and went on to make a handful of appearances for the club before joining Hull City on loan in 2016. Hayden then made a permanent move to Newcastle United in 2016 and has been a key player for the club ever since.
