Murray played college football at the University of Buffalo, where he was a standout player on the offensive line. After a successful college career, he went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft but was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent the 2019 season on the practice squad of the Chiefs before being released in 2020.
