Smith attended Vero Beach High School in Florida, where he excelled in football and caught the attention of college recruiters. After graduating, he went on to play college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). During his time at UAB, Smith showcased his skills on the field and quickly made a name for himself as a standout defensive player.
