Mims began his football career in high school, where he excelled as a wide receiver for Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas. He was highly recruited by college football programs and eventually went on to play for the University of Oklahoma Sooners. During his time at Oklahoma, Mims proved himself to be a dynamic playmaker on the field, showcasing his speed, agility, and exceptional catching ability.
