Mayer started his football journey at Bay Port High School in Suamico, Wisconsin, where he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional playing abilities. His outstanding performance on the field led him to receive several accolades, including being named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Wisconsin in 2019.
