After a successful collegiate career, Mason went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft but was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers. He spent the 2016 season on the practice squad and was eventually waived in 2017. Mason then signed with the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent a brief period before being waived once again.
