Cox played college football at the University of Tennessee where he was a four-year letterman for the Volunteers and was named to the Academic All-SEC team. After going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, Cox signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. He quickly established himself as a reliable long snapper for the Ravens and became a key component of their special teams unit.
