Domínguez began his professional career at Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, one of the most historic and successful clubs in Argentine football. He made his first-team debut for Vélez in 2016 and quickly established himself as a key player in the midfield. Domínguez’s impressive performances caught the attention of top European clubs, and in August 2020, he signed for Italian Serie A side Bologna FC.
