Matiscik attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, where he was a standout player on the football team. He continued his football career at the collegiate level, playing for the University of Florida Gators. Matiscik gained recognition for his exceptional long snapping skills, and after graduating from college, he pursued a career in the NFL.
