Bass attended Georgia Southern University, where he played college football for the Georgia Southern Eagles. During his time at Georgia Southern, he showcased his impressive kicking abilities and solidified himself as a top prospect for the NFL. In the 2020 NFL Draft, Bass was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round with the 188th overall pick.
