In 2009, Brennan made the move to English football, joining Grays Athletic in the Conference Premier. He went on to play for several clubs in the non-league circuit, including Hemel Hempstead Town and Wealdstone, before signing for Billericay Town in 2016. At Billericay, Brennan had a successful spell, helping the team achieve promotion to the National League South.
