In 2013, Hooper moved to the English Premier League, signing for Norwich City in a club-record deal. He spent three seasons with the Canaries before going on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in 2016 and signing permanently the following year. After leaving Wednesday in 2020, Hooper joined Wellington Phoenix in the A-League before returning to England to sign for Barnet FC in 2021.
