Jensen began his youth career at Danish club Brøndby IF before moving to the Netherlands to join the youth academy of Ajax. He made his professional debut for Ajax II in the Eerste Divisie in 2015. In 2016, Jensen signed with German club VfL Wolfsburg, where he spent two years before moving to Burnley FC in 2018.
