Okimo began his career at Northampton Town, where he came through the youth system before making his first-team debut in 2008. He spent two seasons at Northampton before moving on to Stevenage in 2010. During his time at Stevenage, Okimo had loan spells at various clubs, including AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Maidenhead United.
