Hall-Johnson began his youth career at Norwich City before signing his first professional contract with the club in 2014. He made his first team debut for the Canaries in a League Cup match against Crawley Town in 2015, before being loaned out to clubs such as Braintree Town and Chesterfield to gain more first-team experience. In 2018, Hall-Johnson signed with Grimsby Town, where he made over 50 appearances before joining Barnet FC in 2020.
