Salt began his cricketing journey at a young age and rose through the ranks to play for Sussex in county cricket. He made his debut for Sussex in 2015 and quickly established himself as a key player in their T20 and One Day Cup sides. Known for his ability to score quickly and his fearless approach, Salt has been a standout performer in domestic T20 leagues, including The Hundred, where he played for the Manchester Originals. His performances in domestic cricket led to his selection for the England national team, and he made his international debut in a Twenty20 International (T20I) against Pakistan in 2021.
