In 2016, Robinson signed a permanent deal with Preston North End, where he enjoyed great success, scoring numerous goals and making a significant impact on the team. His impressive performances caught the attention of Premier League club Sheffield United, who signed him in 2019. Robinson continued to shine at Sheffield United, before eventually making a move to West Bromwich Albion in 2020.
