Adams began his football career playing for the Gambian club Gambia Ports Authority FC. He then moved to England to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer. He signed for Norwich City in 2016 and was loaned out to various lower league clubs including Braintree Town, Leyton Orient, and Forest Green Rovers. Adams made a name for himself with impressive performances during his loan spells, which caught the attention of Cardiff City.
