Born on January 13, 2001, in Blanchardstown, Ireland, Knight began his footballing journey at the youth academy of St Kevin’s Boys before moving to Derby County in 2017. He made his senior debut for Derby County in 2019 and quickly established himself as a key player for the team. Knight’s impressive performances caught the attention of several clubs, and in July 2021, he made the move to Bristol City.
