After his successful spell at AFC Wimbledon, Taylor moved to Scottish side Partick Thistle in 2015 before returning to England to play for Scunthorpe United in 2016. In 2018, he signed for Charlton Athletic, where he had a prolific spell, scoring 36 goals in 67 appearances.
