Joaquin Rafael Phoenix was born on October 28, 1974, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He began his acting career in the 1980s with roles in television series and films. Phoenix’s breakthrough role came in 2000 with his performance in “Gladiator,” which earned him critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination. He continued to build a successful career with roles in films such as “Walk the Line,” “The Master,” and “Joker.” His performance in “Joker” earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor.
