After retiring from basketball, Jordan turned to team ownership and management. He became a minority owner and head of basketball operations for the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) in 2006. In 2010, he became the majority owner, making him the first former NBA player to own a majority stake in an NBA team. His business ventures also include a lucrative partnership with Nike, which continues to generate significant revenue.
