Wael Sawan was born in 1974 in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a dual national, holding both Lebanese and Canadian citizenships. Sawan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McGill University in Canada and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His career with Royal Dutch Shell began in 1997, and over the years, he has held various senior positions within the company, spanning different regions and sectors, which have significantly contributed to his professional growth and expertise.
