Højbjerg began his professional football career at the age of 17 when he signed for Bayern Munich in 2012. During his time at Bayern Munich, Højbjerg spent time on loan at FC Augsburg and Southampton before officially joining Southampton in 2016. He played a key role in Southampton’s midfield, making over 100 appearances for the club before signing for Tottenham Hotspur in August 2020.
