Bencic began playing tennis at a young age, training under the guidance of her father and coach Ivan Bencic, and former top player Melanie Molitor, who is Martina Hingis’s mother. She quickly made a name for herself in junior competitions, winning the French Open and Wimbledon junior titles in 2013.
