In 2019, Connolly made a permanent move to Ipswich Town before eventually transferring to Lincoln City on loan and then to Fleetwood Town on loan in the following seasons. In 2021, he signed a permanent deal with Blackpool FC, where he continues to showcase his talent and versatility as a defender.
