Born on February 14, 1994, in Dublin, Ireland, Kelly began his career at the youth academy of Irish club Bohemians FC. He made his senior debut for Bohemians in 2013, before moving on to play for a number of clubs in Ireland, including Longford Town, Bray Wanderers, and Shelbourne.
