Jaló started his professional career at the youth academy of Sporting Lisbon, one of the top football clubs in Portugal. He made his senior debut for Sporting Lisbon B team in 2015 and quickly caught the eye of scouts with his skillful play and ability to control the game from midfield. After impressing in the Portuguese league, Jaló made the move to England in 2018 to join Barnsley FC.
