Precious Achiuwa was born on September 19, 1999, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He moved to the United States to pursue his basketball career and attended high school at Montverde Academy in Florida, where he showcased his talent and athleticism. Achiuwa committed to play college basketball at the University of Memphis, where he had an impressive freshman season, earning the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors.
