Born on April 9, 1999, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Irving began his career in the youth system of Heart of Midlothian FC, one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Scottish football. He made his first-team debut for Hearts in 2017 and quickly established himself as a key player in the midfield.
