Van Ewijk began his career at the youth academy of ADO Den Haag, one of the top clubs in the Eredivisie. He made his professional debut for the first team in 2019 and quickly established himself as a key player in the senior squad. His performances caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, and in the summer of 2021, he made a move to Coventry City in the English Championship.
