Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, known professionally as Alok, was born on August 26, 1991, in Goiânia, Brazil. He grew up in a musical family; his parents, Ekanta and Swarup, are pioneers of the psytrance genre in Brazil. Alok began his DJ career at a young age, performing alongside his twin brother, Bhaskar. Over the years, Alok developed his unique sound, blending elements of house music with Brazilian bass, which gained him significant recognition in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene.
