John Edmund Mulaney was born on August 26, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an American national who began his career in comedy at a young age. Mulaney attended Georgetown University, where he majored in English and performed with the university’s improv group. After graduating, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy, eventually landing a job as a writer on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) in 2008. During his tenure at SNL, Mulaney created several popular characters and sketches, including co-creating the character Stefon with Bill Hader.
