Joan Roca was born on February 11, 1964, in Girona, Spain. He comes from a family with a rich culinary heritage, growing up in his parents’ restaurant, Can Roca. Joan, along with his brothers Josep and Jordi, developed a deep passion for cooking from an early age. Joan studied at the Escola d’Hosteleria de Girona, where he honed his skills and began his journey towards becoming a world-renowned chef.
