John Gotti’s finan
cial performance was heavily tied to his criminal enterprises. His income came from the various illicit activities orchestrated by the Gambino family. However, his reign came to an end in 1992 when he was convicted on multiple charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, and obstruction of justice. Gotti was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and died of throat cancer in 2002 while serving his sentence.
