Murić began his professional career at the youth academy of Manchester City, one of the top clubs in the English Premier League. He was highly regarded for his talent and potential as a goalkeeper and eventually made his first-team debut for Manchester City in the EFL Cup during the 2018-2019 season. Murić also had loan spells at NAC Breda in the Eredivisie and Nottingham Forest in the Championship to gain more playing experience.
