Parker made his professional debut for Manchester City’s senior team in 2011 but struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup. He then went on loan to several lower division clubs to gain more playing experience and improve his skills. After impressing during his loan spells, Parker caught the eye of Southampton FC and signed a permanent deal with the club in 2015.
