Born on April 10, 1992, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Manhertz is of Trinidadian descent. He attended Central Michigan University where he played college basketball before transitioning to football. In 2015, he signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent but was later waived before the start of the regular season.
