Colin Calderwood later transitioned into coaching and management, starting his coaching career at Northampton Town before moving on to manage clubs such as Nottingham Forest and Cambridge United. In 2019, he joined Southampton FC as an assistant coach under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
