In 2019, Phillips entered the NFL Draft and signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent. He spent the majority of the season on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December. Phillips was then waived by the Falcons in September 2020 and claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills. He appeared in five games for the Bills during the 2020 season.
